Cooperation between plants and fungi: Working with the plant roots are symbiotic fungi called mycorrhizae. These fungi have countless branching, thread-like hyphae that together make up the mycelium. The mycelium connect the roots of different plants to- gether, and these connection form mycorrhizal networks. Through mycorrhizal networks, fungi can pass resources and signaling molecules between plants.
植物与真菌之间的合作: 与植物根系共生的真菌叫做菌根。这些真菌有无数分支状的菌丝，共同组成菌丝体。菌丝将不同植物的根系连接在一起，形成菌根网络。通过菌根网络，真菌可以在植物之间传递资源和信号分子。
